For my final project I have decided to create a series of images depicting social activities and interactions in public spaces. The project would be a cultural documentation of how people present themselves in the public sphere. The images would take place at areas of social gathering and show everyday scenes such as the beach, coffee shops, downtowns, and attraction centers. The perspective I chose would be elevated, almost like from a podium looking down. For the purpose, I would use a large format camera and 4x5 inches large format color film. My project was inspired by Massimo Vitali’s panoramas of Italian beaches.
